We recommend
We attended as a large group of 24 people, which can often be challenging for any venue, but the team at Sally Pussey's Inn handled it effortlessly. The service was warm, well-organised, and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable.
The Sunday roast is exceptional, offering a choice of three high-quality meats, each cooked to perfection, tender, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with care.
What really sets this roast apart is the generous, no-nonsense approach to portions; you can load your plate as high as you like with Yorkshire puddings, vegetables, and sausages, with no limitations, making it outstanding value for money.
Pricing is excellent and clearly laid out:
The Carvery is served with a fantastic selection of traditional sides, all beautifully cooked and full of flavour. Fluffy roast potatoes, rich and deeply flavoured homemade gravy, perfectly cooked seasonal vegetables, crispy parsnips, light and airy Yorkshire puddings, sausages, and the ever-popular all come together to create a truly satisfying and well-balanced plate. The quality of the ingredients really shines through in every bite.
This is easily one of the best Sunday roasts in Wiltshire, and it’s clear why they're so well known. The pub is full of character, the atmosphere is warm and lively, and the standard of food and choice on offer is consistently excellent.
To finish, the desserts are just as tempting as the main course. With a great selection of classic favourites and comforting puddings, all generously portioned and full of flavour, they provide the perfect sweet ending to an already excellent meal, and are well worth saving room for.
Overall, Sally Pussey's Inn delivers a memorable Sunday roast experience, combining outstanding flavour, top-quality ingredients, incredible generosity, and friendly, attentive service. Highly recommended and absolutely deserving of its reputation.
