Flourish Farleigh Road’s New Lunch Menu Is One You Don’t Want to Miss!

Sometimes all you need is a good excuse to press pause on the workweek and catch up, and last Wednesday, my dad and I did exactly that.

We decided to pop out for a midweek lunch, and choosing Flourish Farleigh Road felt like the perfect choice. Conveniently located on the A36, it’s easy to reach from both Bath and Frome, with plenty of parking and a relaxed countryside feel that makes you instantly unwind.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The team at Flourish have created something really special, where fresh, fulfilling, friendly isn’t just a motto but something they live and breathe. Their new lunch menu celebrates the best of seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, with produce coming straight from their adjoining Foodhall.

We started with a fresh smoothie made with the freshest fruit, presented in gorgeous glass jars and bursting with vibrant colour – the perfect way to get in those five a day! It was light, refreshing, and the ideal way to begin our meal.

There’s a fantastic variety to choose from, whether you’re in the mood for comforting classics or lighter seasonal dishes. I went for a wood-fired pizza, which was fluffy, light and loaded with mozzarella, ricotta and wild mushrooms, absolute perfection. Of course, I couldn’t resist adding a side of hand-cut chips, which were golden and perfectly crisp. My dad opted for honey-glazed ham, egg and chips, a traditional dish done in the most delicious farm shop-style way, full of flavour and generous in portion.

Each plate was beautifully presented and packed with freshness, and you can really taste the care and quality that goes into every dish. The relaxed setting makes it ideal for a family lunch, a work catch-up, or just a treat for yourself. The service was spot-on, friendly, attentive, and never rushed, giving us time to enjoy our meal and chat without feeling hurried.

Whether you’re planning a quick bite or a long, lazy lunch, Flourish Farleigh Road’s new lunch menu is well worth the trip. With delicious food, a lovely setting, and that unmistakable local charm, it’s a must-visit for anyone looking to make their midweek a little more special.

  • Atmosphere: Relaxed, stylish, and welcoming
  • Food: Fresh, seasonal, and full of flavour
  • Service: Friendly, unhurried, and genuinely warm

Verdict: A perfect spot for a midweek catch-up, with food that’s as good as the company
