REVIEW: Christmas Party at McBrides Diner Cricklade

Team Total recently celebrated our Christmas party at McBrides Diner in Cricklade, and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish.

The diner, set right on the high street, was privately hired for our event, and the moment we arrived we could see how much care had gone into making the evening special. The tables were beautifully decorated with handmade Christmas crackers, place settings, candles, festive music, and a stunning Christmas tree. Their own custom-made crackers, even containing fun prizes like 10% off vouchers, were such a thoughtful touch. We were welcomed with glasses of bubbly, setting a warm and festive tone.

We had all pre-ordered from a menu of veggie roast, turkey, or sirloin of beef. Those of us who chose the sirloin were treated to generous portions of beautifully cooked, flavourful roast beef that pulled apart effortlessly. Every plate came with a delicious array of sides: carrots, broccoli, golden and incredibly crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, pigs in blankets, and potato gratin. We also shared extra sides of cauliflower cheese, cabbage, and plenty of gravy. Our vegetarian team member was catered for with great attention to detail and provided with a separate vegetable-based gravy, which we really appreciated.

Dessert was a choice of sticky toffee pudding or gelato. The sticky toffee pudding, served with a choice of custard, cream, or gelato, was a hit. The gelato selection itself was impressive, rum and raisin, Biscoff, chocolate, strawberry, pistachio, plus toppings like chocolate sauce, Biscoff, and Cadbury Twix caramel, endless options for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Throughout the evening, the service was fantastic. We felt genuinely well looked after, and the portion sizes, quality of food, and attention to detail made the night memorable. Emma, the owner, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what she creates.

Team Total had a brilliant Christmas celebration at McBrides Diner, and we would highly recommend it for any occasion.
