Wartime GWR is a book that explores the role of the Great Western Railway during the First World War, and provides a unique perspective into the lives of the railway workers as well as its surrounding areas. STEAM was the right venue to launch the publication on this, the centenary year, and is sure to provide information about the lives of some of the Great War’s unsung heroes.
