Snapped: Highworth Triathlon 2014

Sunday 14th September saw Highworth host its seventh annual triathlon but with Active Sport Events running the event for the first time - and all those who took part and spectated would agree what a fantastic event it was!

TGtS was not only capturing the day, but our very own Liz Ledger took part in the spectacular sporting event..

As usual, the annual Triathlon was a gruelling test of various different skills: running, cycling and swimming. It's a race that can be enjoyed by experienced and amateur athletes alike. But due to road closures, the bike route this year included some very tough hills; including Blunsdon Hill and the old A419 which was a real test to the athletes fitness.

It's fair to say that with an event this successful, it will be a constant on Swindon's sporting calendar.
