REVIEW: Reformer Pilates at The Village Health & Wellness Club
Team TGT Wiltshire recently attended the Monday morning Reformer Pilates class at the newly opened Pilates studio at The Village Hotel Swindon, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish.
The new studio itself is absolutely beautiful, modern, thoughtfully designed, and with a calming décor that instantly makes you feel relaxed and focused. It’s a stunning space that sets the tone perfectly for the session.
As complete beginners, we were a little nervous at first, but the instructor was fantastic. She catered effortlessly to all abilities and made sure we felt comfortable and confident throughout. She carefully explained how to use the reformer machines, walked us through correct foot placement, ensured the hooks and settings were adjusted properly for each exercise, and prioritised safety at every step. Her clear guidance and encouragement made such a difference.
The class began with a gentle warm-up that not only stretched our muscles but also allowed us to slowly get used to the movement of the reformer. This helped us build confidence as the session progressed. From there, we worked through a full-body workout, targeting core, arms, legs, glutes, and back. It definitely felt challenging (in the best way!), you could feel the burn, but it was also so much fun.
The hour absolutely flew by. It wasn’t just a workout; it felt like a complete experience, energising, empowering, and incredibly enjoyable. We left feeling stronger, accomplished, and already planning our next visit.
Highly recommend to anyone thinking about trying Reformer Pilates, whether you’re a beginner or more experienced.
