The students were commissioned to produce a visually appealing and environmentally friendly window display, to promote products for Valentine’s Day and the Easter period.
All three classes created separate full sized paper designs for the window and despite the amount of amazing creations, unfortunately there could be only one winner.
A representative of the Cadbury store selected the winning work, which was a design surrounding a whimsical view of nature within city life. Elements include trees holding giant chocolate bars, buildings with previous TV advert illustrations in the windows and a biplane pulling a banner through the clouds above a milk waterfall. The window is currently dressed for Valentine’s Day, but will be changing to Easter soon after.
Graphic Design Lecturer, Dan Hazelton, said: "We are extremely proud of our first year Graphics students. All three window displays looked great, but the dedication, energy and enthusiasm is what we will remember about this project. The students pulled together and worked as a team to interpret a real world brief in a creative and fun way.
