Festive Events at Sustain Farm Shop
This year, Sustain Farm Shop in Royal Wootton Bassett is celebrating Christmas in a big way, with a full calendar of markets, family activities, and festive treats.
You’ll find real Christmas trees, local traders, visits from Santa and the Grinch, and creative workshops for kids, all on Brinkworth Road.

Real Christmas trees for sale
Dates: Saturday 22 November – Tuesday 24 December, 9am – 5pm
For many, Christmas begins when the tree goes up, and Sustain is ready to help. Real Christmas trees are now available at the farm shop, so you can pick out the perfect one to take home and decorate.
Each tree sold supports Prospect Hospice, so you can enjoy shopping local while also giving back to the community.
Paint your own Christmas bauble
Date: Saturday 29 November
Times:
- Session 1: 10am – 12pm
- Session 2: 12.30pm – 2.30pm
Price: £20 per bauble
Sustain is working with Little Pottery Painting Co. to offer a cosy, creative workshop where you can paint and personalise your own ceramic Christmas bauble. It’s a great keepsake for your tree or a thoughtful handmade gift.
Spaces are limited, so it’s best to book early through the website or booking link.
Sustain November Market
Date: Sunday 30 November, 10am – 2pm
Start your Christmas shopping early at the Sustain November Market. The farm shop will be filled with local traders offering:
- Seasonal produce
- Handmade gifts and crafts
- Tasty festive treats

Santa’s Grotto at Sustain Farm Shop
Date: Saturday 13 December, 10am – 2pm
Price: £12 per child
For one day only, Santa will be at the Sustain stretch tent, turning it into his magical grotto. Each child’s ticket includes:
- A special gift from Santa
- A one-to-one meeting with Santa himself
This event, in partnership with Adam Allsortz, is perfect for young children who enjoy the magic of visiting Father Christmas.
Sustain Christmas Market Weekend
Dates: Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 December, 10am – 2pm
The highlight of the festive season is Sustain’s Christmas Market Weekend, with two days of food, drink, and shopping. You can look forward to:
- Mulled wine and cider
- Yorkshire pudding wraps
- Festive hot chocolates
- Carol singers
- Santa’s Grotto is running on site - tickets available!
- Gurt Wings is serving up its famous fried chicken.

The Grinch’s Grotto Takeover
Date: Saturday 20 December, 4pm – 6pm
Price: £12 per child
To finish the Christmas calendar with some mischief, the Grinch’s Grotto Takeover offers a different kind of festive fun at Sustain.
In association with Totally Crazy Entertainment, each child receives:
- A special gift
- The chance to meet, interact with and take photos with the Grinch himself
It’s a fun choice for families looking for something less traditional but still full of Christmas spirit.
Festive food, hampers and meat boxes
In addition to the events, Sustain is offering Christmas Hampers and Meat Boxes filled with high-quality local produce, including their own grass-fed beef. The in-house butcher can help you customise your order to your liking.
