Swindon Town draw Walsall in the FA Cup Second Round

SWINDON TOWN will face Walsall in the FA Cup second round after Ben Garner's side were drawn away during tonight's cup draw. Total Sport Swindon's Ryan Walker provides more details below.

Advancing to the second round of the FA Cup following Saturday's emphatic 3-0 away win against Crewe Alexandra, Swindon Town have now found out their opponents for the second round as the Robins were drawn away against League Two Walsall.

Second round ties will be played on the opening weekend of December with Swindon tasked with a winter trip to the West Midlands.

Having failed to make it to the third round of the World's oldest club football competition since Swindon's League Two title-winning 2011/12 season, Ben Garner will be eyeing to make history knowing victory could set up a third-round clash against a Premier League giant.

Walsall currently sit in 14th of the League Two standings and beat King's Lynn Town 1-0 in the FA Cup first round at the weekend.

Swindon are yet to face Walsall in the league with the Robins hosting The Saddlers at the County Ground in the last game before Christmas.
