Holloway says 'it’s all about us now' with promotion push still alive

Boss Ian Holloway signalled his immense pride after Swindon Town’s last-gasp 1-0 win at Tranmere and added: “It’s all about us now.”

The Town manager was speaking after Junior Hoilett’s stoppage-time winner sealed a crucial three points in the Robins’ push for promotion.

They are now fifth in the League Two table, three points behind Cambridge United in the third automatic play-off spot having played a game more.

And after his side’s latest win, Holloway insisted going up automatically was still in his sights.

He told BBC Radio Wiltshire: “It’s all about us now. We still have enough names and enough points to play for us to get to our target, which is automatic promotion. I’m not taking anything less than that.

“If I’ve got to, we’ve got a safety net of the play-offs but I believe we should be aiming for the top three, if not the top because everybody is going to have some sort of wobble.

“All I can do is try to control us to keep going to the end with the ability we’ve got, whoever we’re playing against. I believe we could outscore them by at least one goal. That’s my belief and my fans, I hope they understand that as well.

“I couldn’t be prouder of my football club if I tried today, that’s just one off the list. There was eight [games], now there’s seven.”

Next up for Town is a home game against Fleetwood at the Nigel Eady County Ground on Saturday, March 28 (3pm).
