Holloway hails squad's efforts as winning streak continues

Boss Ian Holloway hailed the efforts of his Swindon Town squad as they recorded their third win in a row in all competitions.

A stunning free-kick from Will Wright earned the Robins a 3-2 home win against Reading in the EFL Trophy, adding to goals from Princewill Ehibhatiomhan and Ollie Palmer.

It was a much changed Town XI from the side that lined up at Crewe on Saturday, but Holloway was delighted by the way the entire group performed.

He said: "For this squad to be able to do what they have done in the last three games is completely brilliant.

"I have trained people for months and months and they have still not produced some of the football that we have done.

"I can't thank them enough for their efforts and I cannot big them up enough, but I am not going to go too far as we have not done anything yet."

Victory gave Town a successful start to their Group L Trophy campaign, with MK Dons and West Ham under-21s making up the rest of the group.

Swindon Town return to League Two action on Saturday, when they make the trip to Barrow (3pm).
