Holloway: Fleetwood leveller 'the stupidest goal I've ever seen us let in'
Manager Ian Holloway described as “the stupidest goal I've ever seen us let in” Fleetwood Town’s equaliser, as Swindon Town were held to a 1-1 draw.
Billy Bodin’s goal in first-half stoppage time set the ball rolling for the hosts at the Nigel Eady County Ground.
But Swindon Town miss the chance to record a hat-trick of wins in League Two, when Mark Helm levelled for Fleetwood three minutes before the hour mark.
The point left Holloway’s side fifth in League Two, three point behind Notts County in third.
He said: "We need to chase and keep going, and I think the lads are working their socks off, trying their heart out.
"We just needed to sort out the throw-in. If you look at the throw-in, Will [Wright] spooned it into the crowd, and we got a bit emotional about that instead of getting ready and stopping them.
"They scored the stupidest goal I've ever seen us let in.
"Somebody has played a one-two, and ended up in the box, when we have five, six, seven people over there in action now.
"So on to the next one, Cambridge [United] away. And that is a must-win game.
"We've had a few of them, and we haven't won them, so let's try and put that right by beating them away."
Swindon make the trip to Cambridge on Thursday (8pm).
