Holloway happy with Town response as victory takes them back into top two

Boss Ian Holloway was delighted to see his Swindon Town side bounce back with a 2-0 victory over Bromley at the Nigel Eady County Ground.

Goals from Ollie Palmer and the in-form Aaron Drinan earned the Robins all three points in League Two, as they responded from a 3-2 defeat at Salford last time out.

Victory put Town second in the league table, a point adrift of early pace-setters Walsall.

Speaking post-match, Holloway said: "The lads have looked at everything there, they understand what we are trying to do, and they have realised that we need to do it together.

"I felt that was the main thing. We stood up to a big, strong team who thought we might have a weakness where they are very strong.

"I am really pleased that we are building those relationships, we came back from a terrible blow last week, so let's see if we can keep getting better.

"I have just told them that I think we will get better. We are not going to get any worse than we are now, so let's keep moving forward."

Town have accumulated 21 points from their opening 10 league fixtures, with seven wins and three defeats.

They visit Newport County on Saturday (3pm).
