Holloway 'absolutely stinking fuming' after Town beaten at Bromley

Boss Ian Holloway admitted he was left “absolutely stinking fuming” after Swindon Town threw away a goal advantage to lose 2-1 at Bromley.

Fletcher Holman’s first goal for the club put Town in the driving seat against the League Two leaders at Hayes Lane.

But Holloway’s side unravelled in the second period, with Bromley netting through Ashley Charles and Nicke Kabamba to ensure Town slipped to three defeats on the bounce in all competitions.

Holloway said: "We totally deserved to be in front at half time, and then we did not see it through because we didn't do what we should have done.

"I am absolutely stinking fuming, and it is their own fault because they did not stick to the game plan.

"We have to be bigger than that, better than that, stronger than that mentally. So, we've had a terrible week.

"I am just fuming because we have outplayed them totally. We ran rings around them in the first half, but we couldn't do it in the second, and we didn't even look like we tried to. I don't understand.

"But you have to believe in yourselves, and we have got to keep moving."

Defeat saw Swindon drop out of the automatic promotion places in League Two. They are now sixth, with 46 points from 26 games.

They visit seventh-placed Notts County on Tuesday.
