Snapped: Tom Herbert at The Brunel Flour Festival

Over the weekend, The Brunel played host to an exclusive home, garden and food extravaganza.

Visitors flocked to Wharf Green for the two-day event, which saw one half of Channel 4’s Fabulous Baker Brothers, Tom Herbert cook up a storm in the demonstration marquee. During his culinary showcases, amateur bakers we're taught how to make an array of delicious treats including pittas, soda bread, mackerel pate and an aromatic curry.

Tom, who favours simple dishes and good honest cooking explained "I'm all about getting people to make and enjoy good food at home and I see baking at the heart of that. It's important to get the basics right and go from there."
