The NSBRC Guide to Heating & Sustainability (Live)

A one-day in-person course providing independent guidance on heating systems, renewables and building performance to create a comfortable, energy-efficient home.

The NSBRC Guide to Heating & Sustainability is an intensive one-day training course focusing on building performance, energy efficiency, heating systems and renewable technologies. It is delivered by independent heating and energy consultant Rob Bohm and is also available as a standalone version of the third day of the wider Self Build & Renovation programme.

What the course covers

• Energy fundamentals: incentives and drivers for technologies (solar, battery storage, heat pumps), comparative fuel costs, payback calculations; consideration of Passivhaus, SAP and other requirements
• Design, planning & management: optimising the building elements to maximise performance
• Heating options: selecting appropriate heating solutions for a project

Format: Live at the National Self Build & Renovation Centre (Swindon). Advanced booking is required.
