Snapped: Brighter Future Launch
A new £2.9 million fundraising appeal to bring radiotherapy treatment to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon launched on Thursday 27th May.
To celebrate the launch of the appeal, hospital staff, patients, and MP for North Swindon Justin Tomlinson launched 284 pink and orange balloons into air to symbolise every person diagnosed with cancer each month at Great Western Hospital.
The appeal by Brighter Futures, Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's charity, will fund two linear accelerators, which will deliver the treatment provided by Oxford University Hospitals Trust (OUH) in a new radiotherapy centre.
