Lighting a New Era - Retirement of one of Swindons long standing business ladies

We were delighted today to be invited to the Retirement party of Brenda Savill of the iconic Lighting Bug after nearly 23 years retailing in Swindon and officially  lighting the way the next generation.

Brenda founded the business back in 2003, following in her family’s footsteps in the lighting business  Since then, under her leadership she has seen many changes in retail and has navigated successfully  growing the business and kept up to date with changing market trends and designs  with always a fantastic and diverse range in the showroom at Westmead Industrial Estate.

Looking to the future, Brenda has decided to pass the torch to the next generation. The business  will now be led by her daughter, Joanne Savill, who will take the helm and light the way.  Joanne has many exciting plans for the future having been working in the business for several years  and the whole team is looking forward to seeing the company continue to thrive under her leadership.

Having worked with Brenda for over 10 years at Total Guide, we can personally testify to her enormous impact on the business and the pivotal role she has played in its development and success. Brenda is delighted to hand over the leadership to the third generation, knowing that the company is in safe and ambitious hands.
A heartfelt thank you to Brenda for her vision, leadership, and dedication over the years. We wish her all the very best in the next chapter – and we’re excited for what’s to come under Joanne’s leadership.
