Cricklade couples run 10k for NHS as Rainbow characters

A group of couples from Cricklade who want to help raise money for the NHS have completed a 10k run around Cricklade dressed as children's show Rainbow characters, Zippy, Bungle and George.

Proactive couples Daniel Lloyd, Lucy Aylward, James Eddy and Rob/Jess Dixon have been taking part in weekly virtual quizzes during lockdown and decided they wanted to make a difference, just like Captain Tom Moore and plenty of others have to raise incredible amounts of money for the NHS during this difficult time.

On Sunday 17th May, they all took part in the 'NHS Rainbow Run' - a social distancing 10k in Cricklade, beginning from the Jubilee Clock and running a loop towards South Cerney and finishing back in the high street, all this dressed up as the much-loved Rainbow characters - Zippy, Bungle and George. 

They have now completed their run and have so far managed to raise a remarkable £1,700 for the NHS, which is more than they ever imagined after setting a £500 target.
