Visitors of all ages can drop in to add stitches to a collaborative community tapestry at Kelmscott Manor’s Learning Barn, inspired by the Manor’s tapestry conservation project.
Date: 29 August 2026
Time: 12.00pm - 4.00pm (last entry 3.30pm)
Venue: Kelmscott Manor (Learning Barn)
Visitors can be part of the ‘Threads of the Past’ creative community and add stitches to a collaborative ‘tapestry’. Inspired by the tapestry conservation project, the workshops invite visitors to help create a contemporary textile piece celebrating the story of the historic tapestries and what they mean today. Panels contributed during the season will be added to a community tapestry to be displayed at the Manor in 2027.
This workshop is free and open to all visitors. Drop in between 12.00pm and 4.00pm.
