Pick Your Own Pumpkins at Lotmead Farm (Swindon)

Looking for a fun family day out in Swindon this October? Head to Lotmead Farm for pumpkin picking, a spooky Halloween Trail, and plenty of countryside charm.

When it’s on  

Pumpkin Picking: daily, 9:30am – 5:00pm (site closes at 5:00pm).   

The Halloween Trail, new for 2025, runs daily during the Halloween Half Term (22 Oct – 1 Nov). Last entry is at 4:00pm.   

Tickets & how it works  

Pumpkin Picking entry costs £2 online, which you can use towards the Farm Park or your pumpkin. Walk-in tickets cost 50p more per person if available. Season ticket holders get in free. You can also buy combo tickets with the Halloween Trail, and it's best to book ahead.  

The Halloween Trail costs £4 online for anyone aged 3 and up, with timed entry slots. Walk-in tickets are £1 extra if there are any left. The trail has fun challenges for everyone, especially kids aged 3 to 15.  

Good to know for families  

Café and Farm Shop offer hot drinks and light snacks daily, 9:30am–5:00pm.   

Dogs: Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.   

Wear sturdy shoes, as the farm is open in all weather and it can get muddy. Most pushchairs that work on grass should be fine, but some areas might be tricky if it's very wet. Please keep children with an adult at all times.

Make the most of your visit with a Full Day Pass. Lotmead's Farm Park, with its friendly animals and big outdoor play area, is open every day until Halloween. The Full Day Pass covers both Pumpkin Picking and the Farm Park, giving you great value and a fun day for the whole family. You can use your ticket credit for Farm Park entry, as mentioned above.

PYO: Mon–Sun 9:30am – 5:00pm (subject to availability)  

Farm Park: Mon–Sun 9:30am – 5:00pm (closes after Halloween)  
Please allow enough time to finish before the site closes at 5pm.
