REVIEW: Adventure Point Swindon – The Ultimate Day Out

This half term, I decided to head to Adventure Point to see what all the fuss was about—and honestly, it turned out to be the ultimate indoor activity for keeping teens entertained, whatever the weather. From laser battles to escape rooms and mini-golf madness, I put it all to the test with my friends, and it did not disappoint.

The weather was definitely not on our side - grey skies, drizzle, the whole lot, but that didn’t stop us from having a day packed with laughs, adrenaline, and pure chaos. Honestly, whether you’re planning a family day out, a get-together with your crew, a birthday bash, or just trying to survive a rainy day, Adventure Point has it all. It’s perfect for Autumn and Winter fun, parties, and even team challenges!

We kicked things off in the laser arena, which felt like stepping straight into a sci-fi battle zone. With lights flashing, music thumping, and everyone trying to outsmart each other, it was chaos in the best way possible. 

Next, we tackled the escape rooms at Clue HQ. If you’ve ever wanted to feel like a detective trapped in a thriller movie, this is it. We tried Bunker 38, and our brains were definitely working overtime. There was frantic teamwork, fast thinking, and plenty of “Wait, what does this clue even mean?!” moments. But nothing beats the rush of cracking the code just before the clock runs out. There’s also Cluetankhamun, Detonation, and AI9 if you want to push yourself even further.

By the time mini-golf rolled around, we were ready for a bit of friendly competition. Jungle Rocks Adventure Golf is way more intense than it looks, and we had a blast laughing at terrible shots while trying to stay on course. It’s perfect for families, kids, or anyone up for a little playful rivalry.

Finally, we chilled out in the games and café area. The arcade and pool tables kept the fun going, while the café kept us fuelled with nachos, hot dogs, slushies, and drinks. After a morning packed with action, it was the perfect way to relax and swap stories about our highlights.

Adventure Point turned out to be exactly the kind of fun-filled, indoor day that makes half-term something to remember. Between laser battles, escape rooms, mini-golf, and just hanging out with friends, I left with plenty of laughs, a few bragging rights, and memories I won’t forget anytime soon.
