REVIEW: Cobbs Farm Shop, Hungerford - Your Must-Visit Spot for a Summer's Day Lunch

If you're spending a day in Hungerford, or simply looking for a brilliant farm shop just 30 minutes outside Wiltshire, Cobbs Farm Shop is the place to go. It's super easy to get to, with a relaxed drive and ample parking once you arrive, plenty of spaces, even on a busy day.

The front of Cobbs is picture perfect, with flowers on display and fresh strawberries out front, it's instantly inviting before you've even stepped inside. Walk in and you're greeted by an endless supply of delicious, locally farmed goodies. There's fresh fruit and vegetables, a cheese counter, a fresh bakery stocked with cakes, pastries and bread, and an impressive butchers full of incredible meat. Add to that wines, spirits, cookies, biscuits, crackers, teas and so much more, the selection is genuinely impressive, and you could easily spend ages browsing.

As you continue through the shop, you reach the café, where you're welcomed by wonderful staff. There's a choice of seating inside, outside in the sunshine, or under their marquee, we chose to sit outside, as it was a beautifully hot day.

The menu is divine, with everything from light bites and brunch to sourdough toasties and classics like fish and chips and burgers, there's something for everyone. I opted for the breakfast bap, which was loaded with a fried egg, cheese, crispy hash brown, sausage patty and bacon. Neav went for the chorizo hash, beautifully presented with crispy roasted potatoes, chorizo, a fried egg, and an added portion of halloumi. To drink, she had an iced coffee while I went for the Strawberry Split smoothie, wonderfully refreshing and exactly what we needed on a warm summer's day.

By the seating area, there's a table with condiments, napkins, extra cutlery, and cold water with glasses, so you can help yourself to as much as you need. The food arrived quickly with no waiting around, and it was beautifully presented throughout. The breakfast bap itself was sensational, you could really taste the quality of the fresh farmed meat, the egg was cooked perfectly and dripped as you cut into it, and the brioche bun was light and soft.

Genuinely divine.

The staff throughout were so friendly, and with ample seating both inside and out, it never felt crowded or rushed. Once you're done, there's also a fresh section inside the shop where you can pick up ice cream or a freshly baked treat for dessert, the perfect way to finish off a lovely visit.
