Review: Afternoon Tea at Stanton House Hotel

Stanton House Hotel offers an afternoon tea that is every bit as elegant as its setting.

The experience begins with a delightful selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, each with flavoursome and well-balanced fillings. These are followed by warm, perfectly baked scones, served with rich clotted cream and fruity jam — a classic combination executed beautifully. To complete the experience, a tempting array of delicate cakes  is presented, each as visually appealing as it is delicious. A wide choice of teas and freshly brewed coffee accompany the food, ensuring that every preference is well catered for. There is also the choice of a Celebration Afternoon tea which is served with a glass of Prosecco for special occasions. 

We enjoyed our afternoon tea in the hotel’s light-filled conservatory on a sunny autumn day, which provided the perfect atmosphere in which to savour the occasion. The location itself is exceptional: Stanton House Hotel stands beside Stanton Lake within a 74-hectare country park and nature reserve. The historic manor house offers an outstanding backdrop for photographs, while the peaceful surroundings and inviting outdoor seating area create an atmosphere of calm and tranquility that is hard to match.

Stanton House Hotel combines exquisite food with a truly beautiful setting, making it an ideal choice for a celebration, or simply for taking time to relax and unwind. It is a memorable treat that we would highly recommend.
