Pebley Beach gears up for a busy weekend

Staff at Swindon motor dealer Pebley Beach are gearing up for a busy weekend (January 23 and 24) which will see the launch of not one, but two new cars.

The Paddington Drive dealership is the town’s franchise dealer for Hyundai and Suzuki. And Saturday and Sunday will see launch events held for the new generation Hyundai i20, and a brand new Suzuki: the Celerio.

The all-new Hyundai i20 was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show 2014. Designed for the European market, and built in Turkey, the model has had a complete facelift.

Sales executive Sean Quirk said: “The new generation i20 is longer and wider than the outgoing model, so drivers can enjoy a larger interior with improved legroom and a 336-litre boot.

“Noise vibration has been substantially reduced, and the driver experiences a smoother, quieter drive.

“Inside, the new model offers more bang for your buck – the £10,695 entry level model gets electric front windows, remote central locking, tinted windows and RDS radio with USB.

“The i20 SE model, which starts at £12,670, gains 16” alloy wheels, voice activated bluetooth, cruise control with speed limiter, front fog lights, lane departure warning system, rear electric windows and reversing sensors.

“And customers opting for the Premium model, which starts at £13,725, also get a smartphone docking station, automatic dimming rearview mirror, automatic headlights and wipers, climate control, cornering lights, LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights, projection headlamps and privacy glass.

“We’re really excited about the launch of this new model, and customers have already been asking for it.”

Meanwhile, across the showroom in the Suzuki area, the new Celerio model is being unveiled.

Aimed at the city car market, the brand new model starts at £7,999.

Sales executive Natalia Wilson said: “The Celerio offers great value for money, with low running costs offering 65.7mpg and low emissions of 99g/km.

“Refinements like air conditioning, DAB radio, Bluetooth and alloy wheels all come as standard.

“Our customers will appreciate five wide-opening doors, and an interior with legroom and headroom that comfortably accommodate five adults, as well as a class-leading 254 litre boot.”
