New College's Stem Day

New College Swindon opens its doors to over 300 local secondary school students in the name of weird science.

On Wednesday 8th June the college will host over 20 workshops and shows encompassing Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

The day will include Scientist-turned-TV Presenter Johnathan Hare deliver his show ‘Science of Breaking Bad’, as well as students getting the chance to ride rocket-propelled cars and conducting human health MOT’s on their classmates.

Additional hands-on sessions with Industry leading companies including BMW, Intel and Dyson will aim to educate the year eight students on the potential career paths STEM subjects can lead to.
