Hillier Funeral Service have gone platinum!

Hillier Funeral Service has proudly achieved Platinum accreditation from the Greener Globe Funeral Standard, placing the independent funeral directors among a small and elite group across the UK to receive this highly sought-after recognition.

The award was presented to Rebecca Hillier, General Manager of Hillier Funeral Service, at the company’s head office, Kingshill House in Old Town, Swindon. 

The Platinum standard represents the highest level of accreditation from Greener Globe and recognises exceptional commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable practice.

“We always strive to be the very best and to deliver excellence in everything we do,” said Rebecca Hillier.

“To be recognised for our efforts to operate in a greener, more sustainable way is incredibly rewarding, and to be awarded the highest level of accreditation is an honour we are extremely proud of.” 

The achievement follows a year of significant milestones for Hillier, including the opening of its new funeral home, Lime Kiln House, in Royal Wootton Bassett, making a positive impact locally with many community led initiatives, and supporting families throughout the town and surrounding areas.

“To receive this recognition at the end of such a memorable year really is the cherry on top,” Rebecca added.

Carolyn and Brendan from Greener Globe Funeral Standard presented the award to Rebecca at Kingshill House.

To achieve platinum, Hillier had to undergo a rigorous and extensive audit focused on environmental responsibility, and now they are setting the standard in sustainable practice within their industry.

Looking ahead, Hillier Funeral Service is now working towards achieving Platinum accreditation across all of its funeral homes, with plans already in place to continue this progress in the new year.
