Swindon Town complete the signing of Kaiyne Woolery from Wigan
Swindon Town have brought a new striker into the club with the signing of Wigan forward Kaiyne Woolery.
Town fought off competition from Forest Green Rovers for the signature of Woolery, who becomes the fourth senior striker at the Robins ahead of fellow new signings Harry Smith and Paul Mullin, along with Luke Norris.
Swindon have paid £350,000 for the striker who signs a three-year deal.
Woolery spent the previous campaign on loan at Forest Green, where he scored four goals in 13 league games, but he also netted twice in the National League Play-off Final, which Forest Green won, against Tranmere.
As well as Forest Green, Woolery has spent time at Notts County (loan) and Bolton, where he joined from Tamworth.
He failed to score in five appearances at Notts County, but he did find the back of the net on three occasions from 19 outings while at Bolton, which saw him join Wigan in 2016, however he has only played one league game for the Latics.
Prior to Bolton, Woolery was in non-league with Maidstone, Stafford Rangers and Tamworth.
Woolery can play as a striker and as a winger and his arrival makes him Swindon's 11th summer signing.
