Swindon Town to play Dagenham or Halifax in FA Cup if they win Eastleigh replay

Should Swindon Town win their FA Cup first round replay against non-league Eastleigh, they will play Dagenham and Redbridge or Halifax in round two.

Swindon drew 1-1 with Conference Premier outfit Eastleigh in front of the BBC Two cameras on Friday night and, if they overcome the Spitfires at the County Ground on November 15 (next Tuesday with a 19:45 kick-off time), they will face Dagenham and Redbridge or Halifax at the same ground.

If Town do indeed win at SN1 it will be the first time they have progessed beyond round one of the FA Cup since the 2011-12 season, where they got as far as round four, before losing at then Championship side Leicester City. 

Dagenham and Halifax are of the Conference National and the Conference North respectively and drew 0-0 in Dagenham on Saturday, which means their replay is at the Shay.

The game will be played the weekend commencing December 3/4, but ties will be rescheduled around television coverage across the BBC or BT Sport so matches will be played on Friday, December 2 and Monday, December 5.

It is not yet clear whether Town's replay will be televised or if their round two tie will be either.
