Swindon Town sign Derby County duo Timi Elsnik and Kellan Gordon on season-long loans

Swindon Town have made two new signings on the summer deadline day by bringing in Derby County pair Timi Elsnik and Kellan Gordon.

Elsnik is a centre midfielder and Gordon is a winger, with the latter being a target David Flitcroft has openly expressed an interest in. 

Slovenian midfielder Elsnik has never played a senior league match for Derby but does have 18 caps for the Slovenia under-19 side as well as two goals to his name. He has also been capped at under-17 and 18 level.

Elsnik did feature for the Rams in an EFL Cup tie at Liverpool in September 2016 though.

He was also named Derby County's Scholar of the Year in 2016 and was handed a three-year extension by the Rams.

Gordon played for the seniors in their League Cup tie at Grimsby earlier this season.

Both were part of the Derby County under-23 side that were promoted to the top flight of the Premier Division 2 pyramid last season.

Both will be eligible for Saturday's home fixture against Barnet.
