Defender departs Swindon Town by mutual consent

Swindon Town have announced defender Jeff King has departed the club by mutual consent.

The 28-year-old joined the club in August and made 11 appearances in all competitions.

His final game came in this month’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham under-21s in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

A statement from Town said: “Everyone at the club would like to thank Jeff for his efforts during his time with us and we wish him all the best for the future.”

King has today signed for York City, who re currently top of the table in the National League.
