Holloway: Fans made 'huge difference' in Swindon Town win at Oldham
Swindon Town boss Ian Holloway credited the club’s fans for making a “huge difference” in their 2-1 victory at Oldham Athletic.
The Robins recorded their second win in three League Two contests, thanks to goals from Joe Snowdon and Tom Nichols inside the opening 20 minutes at Boundary Park.
Joe Quigley pulled a goal back for the Latics, but it proved not enough as Holloway hailed the travelling support for helping his team over the line.
He said: "Well done to our fans for coming, I thought that they made a huge difference to us, lifted us at the end and then there was great joy afterwards.
"They know that any points you get at this level, you have to earn them and we certainly did."

The victory was Town’s first on the road this season, having previously been beaten at Walsall and Cardiff in league and cup respectively.
But boss Holloway admitted he would liked to have seen his team kill off the game earlier against Oldham.
He added: "We were slightly inexperienced, but we managed to start brilliantly, which makes a change, and then we didn't carry that on.
"I thought that we got sloppy, and we let them back up.
"I think that you need to hold them down, you have to stamp on them. A pack of lions would not let a wounded gazelle up.
"We had them wounded after however many minutes and we did not step on them.”
Next up for Town is a home clash against Barnet on Tuesday (7.45pm).
