Holloway: 'I can't recall any of my players playing to the level that they can'

Boss Ian Holloway pulled no punches in his post-match assessment as Swindon Town slipped to a 2-0 home defeat against Barnet.

Late goals from Emmanuel Osadebe and Dennis Adeniran ensured the visitors earned their first victory in League Two this season.

And a frustrated Holloway insisted his squad were well below par.

He said: “I can't recall any of my players playing to the level that they can do. So that is bitterly disappointing.

"Well done to Barnet, they came here with no points and they certainly wanted them, and that is what we have got to learn.

"Yesterday (Monday), I didn't like how we trained. I didn't like it at all.

"I've just told them that Saturday should be way gone, Saturday should be way gone on a Monday.

"And then when people get it wrong, you should be telling them. Too many people got it wrong yesterday and I was seriously thinking about making some changes. And boy oh boy, do I wish I did."

Defeat leaves Town 12th in the league table, with six points from four games played.

Holloway’s side will be looking to bounce back when they host Shrewsbury on Saturday (3pm).
