Will Atkinson opened the scoring early on for Southend but striker and captain for the night Jonathan Obika netted the equaliser in the second half.

Swindon goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux was the real hero of the night though - making a whopping ten saves to keep Town in the contest and he ensured that the Robins left Essex with a point.
