Drinan: Everything about Swindon Town feels right to me

Forward Aaron Drinan signed a fresh two-year deal at Swindon Town before declaring: “I believe we’re building something special.”

The 26-year-old has agreed terms to remain at the Nigel Eady County Ground until at least the summer of 2027.

Having signed from Leyton Orient in February 2024, Drinan has played 51 times for Swindon in all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing one assist.

Speaking about agreeing new terms with the club, former Republic of Ireland under-21 international Drinan told the club website: “I’m really pleased to be extending my stay at Swindon.

“I’ve enjoyed every minute here, and I believe we’re building something special. The fans have been brilliant, and I’m excited to keep pushing forward with the club over the next two seasons.

"From the dressing room to the fans, everything about this club feels right to me. I’m really pleased to get the deal done."

Town will be looking to build on a 12th-placed finish in League Two under Ian Holloway next season.

The club’s league fixtures for 2025/26 will be revealed at midday on Thursday, June 26.
