Ball is 'buzzing' to become a Swindon Town player
James Ball insisted “there's no better place to be” than Swindon Town after he became the club’s latest summer signing.
The 29-year-old arrives at the Nigel Eady County Ground having played 21 times for AFC Wimbledonlast season, helping them to promotion to League One.
His former clubs include the likes of Stevenage, Solihull Moors and Rochdale.
He becomes the club’s third new signing of the summer, following David Oldaker and Tom Nichols.
Ball told the club website: "I'm buzzing to join a club with the ambition and fanbase of Swindon Town.
“I can't wait to get started, meet the lads, and get out on the pitch to show what I can do. I'm here to help the team push up the table and fight for promotion.
"I had a phone call with the manager last week, and he sold Swindon to me. He told me about his ambitions for the club this season and the project for the future, and I could see the improvement when he took over last season and his influence was massive.
“If we look at Swindon in terms of form and how they performed at the back end of last season, then there's no better place to be."
