The variety of projects keeping us on our toes after a busy start to 2023 has included everything from a duty-free shop in an international airport to a reception area in a school! While busy sitting behind the computer screen, it has been important to get out and attend networking events in and around Swindon. One of the most fulfilling aspects of starting a business has been expanding our network over the past seven months, and the wonderful people I’ve been able to meet. I also enjoy seeing the expressions on people's faces when I say the word “CGI” and "visualization". So, to be helpful, I’ve put together a brief explanation of what we do and some advice on how and when to use this type of service.
Since advances in computer technology have made it possible for smaller studios to produce stunning images, the use of CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) visualisation has grown in popularity. With shows like Grand Design and Your Home Made Perfect increasing its appearance on television and in advertising year over year, the general public has come to expect to see things in an appealing visual format. As a result, the market has expanded significantly, and an increasing number of professionals have chosen to specialise in this area.
If you're a business owner looking to remodel the team office or thinking about adding on to your own property, it's never been more advantageous to test the waters first with stunning CGI images or walkthroughs. They say that seeing is believing, and now more than ever, you’re able to be transported to a virtual 3D model of your project. In this situation, you can decide based on what you're actually seeing. When you're uncertain whether that vivid red feature wall will look as good in real life as it does in your imagination, a costly mistake can be avoided!
Here are the top five suggestions for navigating the 3D world and when a visualiser should be used.
