The 17-year old forward has been named as captain for the U18's squad who will take part in the World Championship (Division 2A) which is due to take place in Estonia between March 30th and April 6th.
Speaking after the squad was announced earlier today, GB U18's Head Coach Mark Beggs said: "He [Floyd Taylor] is a fierce competitor who is very focused and will lead by example on the ice. "He had an outstanding tournament last year and will be expected to do more. "I've known and coached Floyd for some time and he thrives in this type of environment and gets instant respect from his teammates."
"Communication is a very big part of our program and every player selected will understand how important the next four months are and have been advised they need to be playing as much as possible and looking after themselves physically".
The U18's have two training camps scheduled ahead of the tournament along with games against Sheffield and Solway before the Championships get underway between March 30th and April 6th. GB will face hosts Estonia along with Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania and Romania during the competition.
