BBC’s The Voice Star Brings Classic Rock to Swindon

Get your spandex on and grab your air guitar, as the Wyvern Theatre is ready to rock its roof off next week with the help of the critically acclaimed Classic Rock Show.

Welcoming the task of recreating the Top 20 Guitar Riffs Of All Time is won’t be easy, but rock aficionados shouldn’t worry as they’re in the safe hands of an eight-strong band, headed up by former BBC’s The Voice contestant and We Will Rock You frontman, Ricardo Afonso.

As a member of Team Danny on the 2013 series of BBC’s The Voice and with an impressive list of roles already under his belt, including lead vocalist in Thriller Live at The Lyric Theatre, Galileo in We Will Rock You for three years and fronting the cast during the handover ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics, live on BBC1 and in front of Buckingham Palace, Afonso is more than qualified to deliver the vocal stylings and stage presence of a true rock icon.

Ricardo will join a virtuoso band of some of the finest musicians on the planet, taking you on a two and a half hour foot-stomping ride featuring the music of The Who, Led Zeppelin, ELO, Bruce Springsteen, ZZ Top, Van Halen, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles, Eric Clapton, Queen, & much, much more!
