The Swindon Arts Centre Bowl'ed Over by Ticket Sales
After overwhelming tickets sales, The 2013 Swindon Bowl Concert series is set to be a roaring success.
In addition to recording megastar Billy Ocean another popular 80s recording artist has been added to the bill.
UB40’s Ali Campbell will be appearing at The Old Town Bowl on Saturday 13th July.
Campbell, who has one of the UK’s most distinctive and recognisable voices, will be coming to Swindon with his new band.
Following his departure from UB40 in 2008, Ali and his band have toured across the world - from Australia to Europe and Africa to the UK. As well as selling over 60 million records worldwide and touring across the globe.
Ali is best known for his vocals on classics such as ‘One in Ten’ ‘Red Red Wine’, ‘Don’t Break My Heart’ and ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’.
In October 2007, Ali released a solo album, Running Free. This featured many guest artists including Smokey Robinson, Mick Hucknall and Robbie Williams.
His subsequent albums - Flying High and Great British Songs – (released in 2009 and 2010) have both been in the top twenty album chart and have given Ali the best critical reviews of his career.
The venue has limited capacity so people are advised to book now to avoid disappointment.
