Launching Total Guide to Manchester & Reading
When: March & September
What: It was all hands of deck this year as the team prepared for the launch of not one but two new sites.
After rolling out in towns and cities across the South West, we decided to take the plunge and give our Northern cousins a taste of what they've been missing.
First came Manchester before we returned down south to continue our takeover of the M4 corridor.
Waitrose Opening in Swindon
When: April
What: We were, of course, first in the queue to catch a glimpse of the brand new Waitrose when it opened!
Meat, fish, and cheese counters all feature in the store, as well as a café, bakery, and fresh juice bar.
The store also boasts a range of dining areas, each offering different culinary delights, including salads, baguettes and deli platters.
Total Team Building
When: February
What: In February we were incredibly excited to welcome South Cerney Outdoor to the site!
Based in the Cotswold Water Park between Cirencester and Swindon, South Cerney Outdoor is home to a fantastic array of water sports and activities.
For 'testing purposes' a day out was arranged so that the team could get a feel for what South Cerney Outdoor has to offer first hand.
Liz Winning Business Person of the Year
When: April
What: During a glitzy awards bash back in April, Total Guide to Director, Liz Ledger was crowned Wiltshire Business Person of the Year!
Organised by Newsquest, the Wiltshire Business Awards aim to showcase and celebrate some of the most successful businesses from across the county, so it was a huge honour to be nominated, let alone win!
James Phipps Investing in Total Guide to
When: June
What: What would June be without our annual summer bash?
As always, friends, family and the local business community came together to celebrate with us at Total Towers.
Plus there was more than one good reason to celebrate this year because this was the day that James Phipps officially became a Shareholder in Total Guide to Ltd.
Liz Hurley Visiting Swindon
When: October
What: In October Swindon welcomed a very glamorous guest.
Model, actress and businesswoman Liz Hurley opened a new respite care centre at the Brunel shopping Centre in Swindon town centre.
Funded by Hop Skip Jump, the centre is the first of its kind in the country, and provides children and adults with disabilities a place to stay while their carers and families do their shopping.
Phase 1 of Regent Circus Opening
When: October
What: After months of anticipation, Swindon's newest development, Regent Circus opened it's doors to the public.
Morrisons was the first opening at the new leisure and retail site, and marks the completion of stage one of the exciting new development.
The remainder of the site will open in the New Year with Cineworld, Morrisons, Prezzo, Nandos, Coal and Ask all taking pride of place.
Winning Best Website at the Bath Business Awards
When: September
What: Hot on the heels of Liz's win, the team scooped Best Business Website at the Bath Business Awards in September for their work on Total Guide to Bath.
Since their conception in 2010, The Bath Chronicle Business Awards have grown to become one of the most prestigious events in the Bath business calendar.
Held at Bath Racecourse, the awards celebrated business success across the city and surrounding areas.
The Swindon Designer Outlet Regeneration
When: November
What: In November the first phase of the outlet's new £35million regeneration was unveiled to the public.
The new mall, situated in the Railway Work's historic Longshop building is home to over 30 new and existing retail brands, including the likes of Phase Eight, Ecco, Jigsaw and Paperchase.
As part of it's re-development, the Outlet has launched a new and improved Food Quarter and the UK's first Wall Holla play area.
UTC Swindon Opening
When: December
What: Swindon had a Royal visitor in December when HRH The Duke of York officially opened UTC Swindon.
The new engineering academy, will provide new study opportunities for children aged 14 to 19.
His Royal Highness met students, directors, teachers, and business partners of UTC Swindon before unveiling a commemorative plaque and officially opening the college.
