Snapped: Swindon's Famous Duck Race 2014

On Bank Holiday Monday, 10,000 yellow plastic ducks took the water at Westcott Recreation Ground.

The popular annual event once again helped to raise thousands of pounds for local charities. 

The first rubber duck to cross the finish line was number 03800, scooping it's owner the £1000 cash prize.

The Drakes Race for companies also took place at the event, the winners were  Brewer & Sons and who took home the coveted rose bowl! Second place went to Derrick Newman & Co Third place went to Prestige Fire. 

Other attractions on the day included the RSPCA dog show; cake, plant and charity stalls; a craft fair; children’s activities and refreshments.
