Snapped: Diana Dors Plaque Unveil
Dubbed as the British 'Marilyn Monroe', Diana Dors was born and bred in Swindon. After passing way in 1984, her life was celebrated on Saturday (14th January) with a commemoration plaque placed outside her place of birth.
Sitting between two Kent Road houses in Swindon's Old Town, Diana Dors was born at the Haven Nursing Home which was then was converted into a house.
The 1959 pink Cadillac car given to Dors by Shepperton Studios was parked outside the home, with her youngest son and granddaughter were in attendance.
