Make It! & More - Craft, Hobby & Handmade Show in Swindon this weekend

Organisers have announced a bumper show for this weekend’s craft event – Make It! & More, taking place at STEAM Museum in Swindon on 28th and 29th September.

The 2-day show sees stalls selling craft supplies and handmade goods combined with workshops offering visitors the opportunity to try new crafts.

Workshops on offer include arm knitting, book binding, silk painting, sewing, illustration, lantern making, block printing, paper cutting and more.

Now in its 3rd year, the show is to be opened on Saturday morning by actress, tv presenter and celebrity crafter Julie Peasgood.

Known for her roles in Brookside and Emmerdale, Julie is passionate about crafts and has a regular monthly column in Crafts Beautiful Magazine.

“We can’t wait to open the show this weekend,” says organiser Jennie Rainsford, “It’s going to be the biggest yet with over 35 stalls and more than 20 workshops to try over the weekend. We’re very honoured to welcome Julie, she is a well known face on TV and in the crafting world, it’s a great opportunity to come and meet her as she opens the show at 10am on Saturday.”

Admission is £2.50 in advance and £3.00 on the door. Children 16 & under go free. Visitors benefit from reduced entry to STEAM.
