Josh Kumra to appear at Big Arts Day
As the weather hots up, so is the line-up for the Big Arts Day. Along with the great acts for the main stage, reported recently, the Big Arts Day is pleased to announce that Josh Kumra, known for the No 1 hit Don’t Go, will be appearing.
The free festival, on Saturday 14 July at Lydiard Park, not only includes drama, workshops and professional acts, but great music, including Josh. The singer-songwriter, who co-wrote and featured on the No 1 hit Don’t Go, with Wretch 32, is now signed to RCA and in the latter stages of recording his major label debut.
Hailing from Swindon, Josh instead grew up listening to the music his father played – Dylan, Hendrix, and Simone. Picking up a guitar for the first time at the age of three, Josh self taught, and hasn’t put it down since.
Likened to a young Ray LaMontagne or Ben Harper, Josh is rapidly developing a name for himself as a gutsy and heartfelt young performer.
Josh re-worked one of his songs, Don’t Go and resulted in him taking to the stages of Glastonbury and V, as well as Later With Jools Holland and Radio One’s Live Lounge.
