REVIEW: The Cast Iron Bar and Grill Tapas Menu
The Cast Iron Bar and Grill, situated inside Swindon’s popular Delta Hotel, have recently launched their delicious new tapas menu - and we were kindly invited along to sample some dishes!
The curated menu includes what we’d consider to be the most flavoursome tapas highlights, such as Patatas Bravas, Gambas al Aljillo, Mazanilla Olives, Pimientos de Padron, and yummy tortilla. We can’t forget to mention the Chorizo al Vino Tinto - succulent chorizo cooked in a delicious red wine sauce, with just the right amount of spice. A firm favourite!
Desserts are also available from the tapas menu, and you can choose from Brownie de Chocolate y Cafe - a rich, warm brownie served with vegan vanilla ice cream, or Crema Catalana - a traditional lemon and cinnamon custard, with brulée topping.
The ambience of Cast Iron Bar and Grill is warm and inviting, with an abundance of seating options - choose from inside the restaurant, or the outdoor terrace, which is nicely relaxed and perfect for sharing plates.
Staff are friendly and attentive, and knowledgeable about dishes and ingredients. The clear allergen information on the menu made choosing dishes easy (for those with dietary requirements). With dishes starting at £4.50, this menu proves to be excellent value for money - why not head down to Delta Hotel and try some tapas this weekend?
