Switch On To Swindon announce launch of TechSwindon

Switch On To Swindon today announced the launch of TechSwindon, a technology-focused business campaign which aims to establish Swindon as the leaders in the UK technology industry.

Hosting their technology-focused event at the Nationwide HQ building, the team behind Switch On To Swindon made the announcement introducing TechSwindon, a new campaign focused on placing Swindon at the forefront of the UK's technology industry. 

Set up with the purpose of establishing Swindon as a great place to work, invest, and visit, the team behind the campaign focus on the positives of the town with the aim of encouraging more investment within the area.

Making the groundbreaking announcement, Kris Talikowski, board member and director of The Core said:

"Tech Swindon places the spotlight on Swindon's growing tech sector," he said. 

"Tech Swindon will position us as a recognised digital and growing town."

"There will be 1000 visitors per day to Tech Swindon's two-day event which is to be held at the STEAM Museum in 2020," he added. 

"We want to bring Swindon businesses together to put Swindon at the forefront of technological advancement in the UK. 

"Nationwide have today confirmed support Swindon and are the first sponsors. 

"We are also now working with Appsbroker, National Trust and others within the area but need more people to work with," he said. 

Speaking at the event Stuart Williamson, Director of Communications at Nationwide and SOTS board member said:

"We need to look to the future for the technical needs of Swindon," he said.

"We all know the benefits of working and living in Swindon. 

"We as a community need to come together to help make our voices heard in this increasingly competitive marketplace," he added.
