Philip Nickson & Co recently joined the Haines Watts Group this month becoming Haines Watts Cirencester Ltd (www.hwca.com/accountants-cirencester/). The business will continue to operate from its existing premises in Kempsford, Gloucestershire as well as from the Haines Watts offices in Swindon.
Phil Nickson will remain with the business as a consultant and continue to work with existing clients who are predominantly based in the south of Gloucestershire and North Wiltshire. The new Gloucestershire-based team members will also work closely with the existing Swindon team.
Mike Lloyd, managing partner at Haines Watts Swindon said: “We are very pleased to be joined by Phil and his team. The acquisition was originally planned to take place earlier in the year but was delayed due to the Covid-19 situation.
“The client base compliments our base in Swindon and we feel very confident Phil’s clients will benefit from the combination of familiarity and enhanced service lines that they will have access to.
“This acquisition increases Haines Watts’ size in North Wiltshire and the south of Gloucestershire by about 25% and will form the basis for expansion within not only the Cirencester but also in the Cheltenham and Gloucester areas.”
Phil said: “My team and I are delighted to become part of the Haines Watts Group with the resources it will bring to our clients who will benefit greatly from the broader range of services and expertise made available to them.”
Nationally, Haines Watts is a top 15 firm of Chartered Accountants who specialise in advising and supporting business owners, individuals and not-for-profit organisations locally and throughout the UK.
