Exaclibur's Dinner set to be a Sporting Success!

It’s not long now until Excalibur’s Sporting Dinner in support of the teenage cancer ward at Bath RUH. With only a week to go, tickets are selling out fast!

Alexandra House in Wroughton will see the local community come together on Friday the 27th of June to support this worthwhile cause.

Every year more than 2000 new cancer cases are treated from the RUH extensive catchment area which includes Bath, Swindon, Wiltshire and Bristol. Every day this disease forever alters the future of people’s lives. It is hoped the centre will be able to offer the very best and advanced care for its cancer patients. 

Iconic rugby star, Gareth Thomas will be showing his support as a guest speaking on the night. Gareth, famously nicknamed ‘Alfie’, represented Wales in both the rugby union and rugby league.

Gareth is an ambassador for LGBT, a public supporter of ChildLine and recently launched a new workplace Diversity Management Training Programme. His speech on the night is set to be captivating, frank and heartfelt - definitely not something to be missed!

Other entertainment on the night includes a comedian, a charity auction to win some amazing prizes, plus some delicious food, drink and excellent hospitality in the beautiful surroundings of Alexandra House.

Excalibur’s CEO James Phipps is looking forward to welcoming guests on the night, he commented, “We’re aiming to have a full house on 27th June, especially given the level of entertainment, Gareth is an excellent speaker with not only an impressive sporting career but also some challenging and life-changing experiences.
